Despite its name, access to Citizenshare has never been common. Before there were waiting rooms and telehealth, families of social standing turned to Correspondence Counsel — letters, literature, and retained learned advisors known quietly, without media fanfare, as Readers; in Italian, Lettori.
They still do.
Citizenshare Publishing House exists for one relationship and one problem: the quiet distance that grows between a mother and her adult daughter — the shortened replies, the polite visits, the words measured and deleted before sending.
We do not offer or suggest passive reading. You have live access to the Clinician Council helps you uncover what’s hidden beneath the silence and find your way back to your daughter.
We believe that distance is not a verdict. It is a language problem. And language problems can be studied, translated, and answered.

The Almada Papers
Our flagship work, born of testimony, Miriam’s Scarlet Season, follows a daughter in Venice across twenty-three months of correspondence to her mother in Lisbon, Portugal — a correspondence in which a silence slowly learns to speak. Miriam never studied psychology. She studied her mother.
Each letter is presented as literature, and annotated as insight: what was said, what was meant, and what a reader navigating her own season of distance can carry home from it.
The Clinician Council
Behind every reading stands the Clinician Council — whose licensed clinicians prepare each Distance Reading, answers each reader’s question personally, and hosts live and one-on-one conversations. The clinician grounds Miriam’s story in the clinical research that would not arrive for decades.

How It Works
It begins with a short, private assessment — seven questions about your season of distance. Within twenty-four hours, a personally prepared Distance Reading arrives in your inbox, along with an answer to the question you most want to ask. Private, confidential, and written for one reader: you.
Citizenshare offers literary and educational coaching informed and reviewed by licensed clinicians. It does not provide psychotherapy, counseling, diagnosis, or medical treatment.
